EXIF Remover

Remove EXIF, GPS, XMP and other metadata from JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, HEIC and AVIF images without re-encoding them

Drop images here or click to browse JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, HEIC and AVIF, one or several. You can also paste them. Nothing is uploaded.

The image is never re-encoded: its data is kept byte for byte, with the ICC color profile, so the colors don't change, and the few blocks needed to display it, such as the orientation, without which a photo taken upright would show sideways. Every other block is dropped: the EXIF, GPS and XMP data, IPTC, comments, text chunks, Content Credentials… as well as what follows the image in the file, such as the video of a motion photo or the HDR gain map of a JPEG. A GIF keeps its frames and its loop count, a HEIC or AVIF its images (thumbnail, depth and HDR maps included). Use File Metadata to see what a file carries before cleaning it.
