URL to Markdown
Turn a web page's main content into clean Markdown, without menus, ads or footer
Enter an http(s) URL.
Relative links and images are resolved against it. The HTML stays on your device.
Images from other sites aren't loaded in the preview, so it makes no request; they are kept in the Markdown.
How it works
- Main content
- The article is picked out of the page by Readability, the library behind Firefox's Reader View: menus, sidebars, ads, comments and footer are left out.
- Whole page
- Everything in the page body, minus scripts, form fields and the navigation, header and footer landmarks. Use it for pages that aren't articles: documentation indexes, listings, home pages.
- Markdown
- GitHub Flavored Markdown: ATX headings, fenced code blocks with their language when the page gives it, tables, strikethrough and task lists. Links and images point to absolute URLs.
