A knitted piece, a drawing, a logo… You can also paste it. Nothing is uploaded.

Frame one repeat of the motif and line the grid up with the stitches, then count them in Stitches. Snap to the stitches finishes lining it up, within half a stitch. Zoom in to place it stitch by stitch: pinch, or the wheel with ⌘Ctrl, then drag the photo around. The round handle turns the frame when the piece is tilted.

Click or drag over stitches to change their color, every repeat follows; ⌘Ctrl+Z undoes. Zoom in on small stitches: pinch, or the wheel with ⌘Ctrl. Slide toward Photo to trace the photo. The red frame is one repeat; read from the bottom right, row 1 first.
Colors
Read from the photo: when a yarn comes out wrong (a shadow taken for a yarn, two close yarns as one), the pipette picks it on a stitch, and the bin removes one, its stitches going to the nearest yarn. Then set each to your yarn's color and name it after its ball.
A stitch whose four neighbors are of another color takes theirs: the noise of a photo, but also a snowflake's dot.
